"13 Reasons" is the magazine of the Lothringer 13 Halle, Munich’s municipal art space. It explores the intersections of visual art, sound, performance, and critical theory, examining issues of power, technology, ecology, and a way of thinking that no longer places humans at the center.
The magazine sees itself as a “parasitic medium”: It embeds itself in existing systems in order to set them in motion from within. Each issue is a current, a “Current,” with its own theme.

The second issue is part of ANTIFASCISM: NOW., a project by Lothringer 13 Halle and the Goethe-Institut focused on anti-fascist cultural work in Eastern and Southeastern Europe. It began with a Munich chapter running from January 30 to July 31, 2026, and has continued ever since. Once again, there are thirteen reasons: conversations, essays, a manifesto, a catalog of right-wing codes, an obituary, and thirteen scores against tech-fascism. Stickers are included with the issue.
