Incontri. Luigi Nono

In March 1987, Luigi Nono met with Enzo Restagno in Berlin to recount his autobiography over several days and many hours: the decades of the avant-garde, from the early 1940s to the late 1980s, are reviewed, along with their discourses, hopes, disagreements, and, not least, the question of political engagement.

Enzo Restagno gave it the form of a coherent conversation, which he published in the same year on the occasion of the Turin Festival for New Music "Settembre Musica," which he curated.
This unique review of his life is now available for the first time in German in a comprehensively annotated edition with an index, which makes the many references, allusions, and unspoken connections to the life and work of the composer, who died in 1990, accessible and understandable.
