Kammerton der Gegenwart

Wittener Tage für neue Kammermusik

The Witten Days for New Chamber Music—jointly organized by the city of Witten and WDR—have been setting the "contemporary chamber tone" since 1969: a "class reunion of the avant-garde" as well as a music fair for organizers, publishers, producers, connoisseurs, and enthusiasts.

Essays and photos shed light on the festival's 40-year history (and its prehistory since 1936). With portraits, memories of contemporary witnesses, chronology and discography, two CDs with rarities, and a documentation of all programs.
