Program book for the Sonifikationen festival – Sounding data streams

Sonification: Transfer into Music appears as the program book for the festival Sonifikationen – Klingende Datenströme (Sonifications – Sounding Data Streams). The festival was conceived, curated, and artistically directed by Jutta Ravenna. It is organized by the Berlin Society for New Music (BGNM). The book contains commentary on the compositions and sound installations of the participants, as well as their biographies. Beyond the festival, the book, edited by Julia H. Schröder, includes a section of essays by scholars who, at her invitation, have examined the topic of sonification in music and sound art from different perspectives and explored its boundaries.
